The Clermont Sun 1967 Basketball All Stars

In 1967 Clermont Northeastern made two people on the Clermont County Basketball Stars of the Year.  Coach of the year was Bob Wisenhaln.  Bill Palmer was all-star guard for CNE.  He went on to coach at Clermont Northeastern.

And we came in first in our league!  The final Clermont County Leagure standings were Clermont Northeastern  10-2, Batavia 9-3, Goshen 6-6, Bethel-Tate 3-9 Williamsburg 3-9 and Felicity 2-10.

FIRST YEAR FOR CNE FOOTBALL

Clermont Northeastern, in only its second year as a high school, had a schedule for the 1959-60 season, but did not play any games. The Rockets’ actual first game was played Sept. 11, 1964, with a 13-12 loss to Felicity. The old Owensville High School Blackhawks (orange and black were the school colors) did not compete in football. It’s last graduating class was in 1958 before being consolidated into Clermont Northeastern.
